This policy describes how Crayons and Code uses cookies and similar technologies on Frontend Foundations.
What are cookies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a site. Similar technologies include local storage and session storage.
Cookies we use
Frontend Foundations is built as a static site. We do not set advertising or social tracking cookies.
Your browser may store strictly necessary data to support basic functionality — for example caching assets so pages load faster. Our hosting provider may also set short-lived technical cookies for security or load balancing at the edge.
Analytics
We use Umami via Umami Cloud to understand how the site is used — for example which pages are viewed, referrer, browser type, and device class. The Umami tracker we use does not set cookies on your device. See Umami’s privacy policy for how they handle data as our analytics provider.
For more detail on what we collect and why, see our privacy policy.
Third-party embeds
If we embed third-party content (for example a video or map), that provider may set its own cookies when you interact with the embed. Check their privacy policies before use.
Managing cookies
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking all cookies may affect how some sites work; Frontend Foundations should remain usable because we do not depend on non-essential cookies for core reading and navigation.
You can also use browser extensions or network tools that block analytics scripts if you prefer not to be counted in site statistics.
Updates
If we change how we measure usage or introduce cookies that need consent, we will update this policy and comply with applicable law before they take effect.
